5. Terms of Sale

By placing an order you are offering to purchase a product on and subject to the following terms and conditions. All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price. Dispatch times may vary according to availability and any guarantees or representations made as to delivery times are limited to mainland UK and subject to any delays resulting from postal delays or force majeure for which we will not be responsible. Please see our delivery prices notice for further information. In order to contract with Samantha Claridge, you must be over 18 years of age and possess a valid credit or debit card issued by a bank acceptable to us. Samantha Claridge (Lakemill Investments Ltd) retains the right to refuse any request made by you. If your order is accepted we will inform you by email. When placing an order you undertake that all details you provide to us are true and accurate, that you are an authorised user of the credit or debit card used to place your order and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the goods. The cost of foreign products and services may fluctuate. All prices advertised are subject to such changes.

6. Our Contract

When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement e-mail confirming receipt of your order: this email will only be an acknowledgement and will not constitute acceptance of your order. A contract between us will not be formed until we send you confirmation by e-mail that the goods which you ordered have been dispatched to you. Only those goods listed in the confirmation e-mail sent at the time of dispatch will be included in the contract formed.

7. Pricing and Availability

Whilst we try and ensure that all details, descriptions and prices which appear on this Website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of any goods which you have ordered we will inform you of this as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund. All prices are inclusive of VAT. Where delivery costs apply; such additional charges are clearly displayed where applicable and included in the ‘Total Cost’.

8. Payment

Upon receiving your order we carry out a standard pre-authorisation check on your payment card to ensure there are sufficient funds to fulfil the transaction. Goods will not be dispatched until this pre-authorisation check has been completed. Your card will be debited once the order has been accepted.

Promotional discount codes – We may from time to time offer promotional discount codes which may apply in respect of any, or certain specified, purchases made through this Website.

9. Linking to this Website

You may link to our home page, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it, but you must not establish a link in such a way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists. You must not establish a link from any website that is not owned by you. We operate a complaints handling procedure which we will use to try to resolve disputes when they first arise, please let us know if you have any complaints or comments.

If you breach these conditions and we take no action, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies in any other situation where you breach these conditions.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are to be construed in accordance with the laws of England and in the event of any dispute or claim associated with these terms and conditions, that dispute or claim shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

17. Entire Agreement

The above Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement of the parties and supersede any and all preceding and contemporaneous agreements between you and Samantha Claridge (Lakemill Investments Ltd). Any waiver of any provision of the Terms of Service will be effective only if in writing and signed by a Director of Lakemill Investments Ltd.

Refund Policy 

What are the return/replacement policies?

We currently issue a 28 day no quibble return policy from the date that you receive your order, provided that the goods are returned in a saleable condition with any original packaging. This is in line with The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.

How do I return an item?

If you are unhappy with your goods in any way, you can return them for a full refund, providing they are in a saleable condition with any original packaging, within 28 days of receipt. please contact me within 14 days of receipt at hello@samanthaclaridge.com

Fabrics, trims and yarns can Not be returned once they have been used or cut into so please check for any faults or decide if you wish to keep the item or not before cutting into or starting to use the items where possible.

The buyer is responsible for the cost of the return postage. Please return your parcel to the address below. We recommend that returns are sent by recorded delivery as we cannot accept responsibility should your items go missing.

How do I exchange my item?

Please return your unwanted goods for a full refund as above and place a new order on the website for the goods you would like in exchange.

My item is faulty, what do I do?

Should you receive a faulty item, please contact me at hello@samanthaclaridge.com and I will be more than happy to reissue your postage costs and offer you either a full refund or a replacement once I have received back the faulty goods. Please note: We cannot resend your order or credit your postage expenses until we have received back the faulty goods.

Fabrics, trims and yarns cannot be returned once they have been used or cut into so please check for any faults or decide if you wish to keep the item or not before cutting into or starting to use the items.

I've received the wrong item, what do I do?

Should you receive an incorrect item, please contact me hello@samanthaclaridge.com and I will be more than happy to reissue your postage costs and offer you either a full refund or a replacement once I have received back the incorrect goods. When can I expect my refund for my returned goods?

Once you have had an email to confirm your parcel has been received by us, you can expect the refund to be made within 2-3 working days.

One of my items is missing, what do I do?

If one of your items is missing from your order, please contact me hello@samanthaclaridge.com and I will send it out to you, free of charge. Please note: you will be asked for your order number, full details and possibly further information from your invoice so please have these to hand!

Why have I only received part of my order?

Please refer to your paperwork to see whether there is more than one parcel. For example, if your invoice reads “Item to follow shortly”, then this means that we were unable to package your entire order in one package and you should expect a further delivery within the next few days.

If some of the items were unavailable when we went to pick your order then these items may have been cancelled from your order and you will have been refunded accordingly. Your paperwork will show the products that have been cancelled and we will have emailed you to let you know about the out of stock or discontinued item/s. We strive to keep our website as up to date as possible, but sometimes things do slip through the net.
